Other Details:
           Four-thousand years ago, during the great Second War of Light and Darkness, Tirek the Supreme Master of Darkness sent forth countless armies of evil all over to prepare for his unholy conquest to spread chaos and fear throughout the entire world. One of them were the youkai, led by the traitorous Amon of the Shadow Void Star, founder of the You Power. A few years before the Champion of the Light rose, Amon was ordered to invade the Dai Empire and take it under the dreaded name of the almighty Darkness. Soon, the ancient utopian empire fell and underwent a reign of terror.

           However, the citizens there wouldn't tolerate that. So, three holy ponies by the names of the unicorn Muteki Shogun, the pegasus Tsubasamaru and the earth pony Kakure Daishogun, and the first qilin in the world, Amareterasu, stood up for freedom and justice and led a brutal uprising against Amon's monstrous youkai. Later, they were helped by the Great Mythical Chi Beasts and their Guardians, who were Amon's former allies and friends. Unfortunately, the civil war did not receive pleasant outcomes. In the end, the youkai were driven out of the nation and Amon was sealed away but at the cost of the Dai Empire's existence from the world. From the fragments of the former empire, a new nation named Neighpon was born.

           As for the three holy ponies, as a reward for their victory in the Second War, similar to how the Guardians were rewarded with immortality after the First War ten-thousand years ago, they became something more. They were transformed into godlike beings called the Sanshinshou. (They are not actually gods though they are worshiped by the Japanese as if they are. The only known actual gods in this fanfic universe for now are just Tirek and the Trinity of Light. The Champion of the Light is not also a god since he is just a mortal rewarded with great powers that he once had.)

Interesting Facts: The Sanshinshou (Muteki Shogun, Tsubasamaru and Kakure Daishogun) are the sentient mecha featured in the 1994 tokusatsu Super Sentai series Ninja Sentai Kakuraner which preceded Gosei Sentai Dairanger, the series which this fanfic is mainly based from. Their American counterparts (Shogun Megazord, Falconzord and Ninja Megazord respectively) are the featured Zords in Season 3 of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
